乌德琴，(英语Oud；阿拉伯语 عود；波斯语 بربط；土耳其语 ud或ut；希腊语 ούτι)，是北非、西亚和中亚等地区使用的一种传统拨弦乐器，有“中东乐器之王”之称。乌德琴被认为是中国琵琶、欧洲鲁特琴的前身。由于现代吉它延自鲁特琴之一种类，所以乌德琴也被视为吉它之祖。乌德琴的由来，至今说法不一。根据一位古代伊斯兰科学家法拉比研究，乌德琴是由创世纪中的传说人物，亚当的第六代孙Lamech所创，传说中Lamech悲伤的将其儿子的尸体吊在树上，而第一个乌德琴的创造就是来自其儿子的骨骼形状。另有传说是上帝赐于亚当儿子该隐的后裔发明乐器的本领，结果Tubal发明了鼓、Lamak发明了乌德琴、Dilal发明了竖琴。
